OUR THERAPISTS

Arrow

We know the value of finding a good therapist and that finding the right fit is important. All of our therapists have years of experience and training working in diverse and dynamic settings.

We have worked in various levels of care, including community clinics, residential treatment, outpatient settings for mental health & substance use, schools, and hospitals prior to our private practice work. We each bring a unique skill set and style into the work we do with clients, but our hope for our clients always remains the same. We want you to feel empowered and more confident in making real progress and change.

Rodman Walsh, LMFT

Co-founder

'I love the work that I do with clients. I view therapy as a collaboration where I can hopefully provide helpful insights and interpretations that you can integrate into your own life. I work with clients trying to better understand themselves, patterns, and relationships. When you gain a new perspective and get to the core issues, this allows for real growth, healing, and change. I work from an attachment and psychodynamic lens that is helpful in addressing past traumas, behaviors, and negative emotions that tend to re-emerge and continue to affect you.

I am active and engaging in the therapy so you can have real takeaways from our sessions.  I will often blend eclectic approaches to therapy to individualize your therapy and meet your unique needs. I see the therapeutic process as a relationship that we foster and build so you feel safe and comfortable. I believe we grow the most when we are open and embrace fears and discomfort. I specialize in assisting those struggling with Trauma/PTSD, Relational issues, negative self-image, low self-worth, substance abuse, and grief & loss.

There will always be opportunities to grow and evolve. Life is never stagnant so we continue this work as we face new challenges or hardship. I’m mindful of this process as a part of my own self-care and growth. When you prioritize yourself and work through difficult feelings and situations, things can change.'

'I am here to help. Not fix or cure or change, but help. I commend you for seriously considering therapy. It takes guts and likely a great deal of contemplation to make it this far. Arriving at this point often means the hardest part is over. Don’t get me wrong; obstacles, anxieties, and fears will continue to present themselves. But you will no longer be alone in confronting them.

I see therapy as a relationship. As a naturally empathic person who chose to become a clinical psychologist, I am well suited to support people as they cope with life's challenges. Working with me starts with building rapport and trust.  I see my clients through a non-judgmental and compassionate lens. Done well, therapy should strike a balance between feeling safe and secure and being encouraged to confront the unknown and the uncomfortable. That is the real work. My job is to help you better understand yourself and find what you want out of life.'

I have experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities. While I commonly return to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I have found that the individual in treatment will reveal which methods are best suited for them. Empathy, acceptance, and collaboration enable us to create the trust that determines how I might best serve you.

In my early professional years, I was asking the question - How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way - How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his or her own personal growth?

Ben Peck, LMFT

'Therapy is not just a means to heal, but is a kind of mirror reflecting a person’s inner strength. Each session is a step forward, revealing the layers of the past and guiding towards a future filled with hope. One can learn that personal struggles do not have to define you; they can just be a larger part of something that can make you whole.

I find therapy sessions to be a warm, contained space to dig up old wounds and confront them with compassion. By shining a light on those buried hurts, you can discover how profoundly they’ve shaped your perceptions and experiences. This process, though challenging, can transform a person's understanding of themselves and elevate their quality of life.'

Ben has a long history of experience with recovery both professionally and personally. His clinical experience at outpatient centers across the greater Los Angeles Area saw him work with a diverse set of individuals struggling with a myriad of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and phase of life issues.

Ben’s approach is wide-ranging and incorporates a number of theoretical modalities including narrative therapy, mindfulness, behavioral techniques, and relapse prevention.
